3rd brake light

Has anyone repaired or had their 3rd brake light repaired? !/2 of it does not light up. I thought LEDs lasted forever. Could it be a bad connection?

Coupe or roadster ?
If it's a roadster, there is a DIY here somewhere on fixing that.

The repair involves digging into the part and resoldering broken connections. The part appears to be permanently glued together so the fix is quite drastic.
It is probably best to ship it out to a place that repairs them.
