Hi y'all!

I got a graphite grey 2004 Crossfire in a "Special Edition" with the silver windshield frame and some other buffs. I've gotten the diffusers that Stephan in Germany makes (see other tread about that if you're interested -- yes, he still makes them, and yes, they're still great) and I want to paint them the same silver as the windshield frame and door handles. But does anyone know what color code that is? Is it the same as the silver for the body of that year, "Sapphire Silver Metallic", BS3/PS3/S3? Or something else entirely?

Someone should chime in with a code but it is definitely NOT Sapphire Silver Metallic

 

Try these;
Satin Silver XZA = Mercedes Benz colorcode: 9969

PAK-W/ XZA-W satin silver metallic coating
This is the code for the wheels which should be same or similar to Windshield trim

I think the original paint used for the XF was by PPG
Don’t hold this as 100% correct do your homework before making a purchase

if you decide to paint this yourself and you’re going to get rattle cans, get the ones that are done professionally with a 2 part system

An automotive paint supply shop can make one that has an activator on the bottom
It hardens the paint.

A regular rattle can will not be robust enough for your specific application.

I'm fairly sure that the paint in the following link is the one typically used by most European Marques for Silver Wheel Paint. And the Crossfire 7-spoke wheels used this paint also. Most likely also used to paint the windshield surround trim on the Crossfire.
