The news media is jumping all over the story of Akron's favorite son "LeBron James" getting a speeding ticket by the Ohio Highway Patrol. They clocked him (on radar) doing 101 mph at 2:30 in the morning on Dec 30th. driving his Mercedes.
One journalists down played the whole affair by saying, "Well the speedometer on his car goes to 200, so he could have been going a lot faster".
LeBron's attorney has pleaded innocent for his client, so it's going to be interesting to see how he beats the rap.

 

Yeah that's all they can talk about now, I'd rather read about him breaking 100 on the Basketball court. It amazes me what passes for news now a days. I am amazed that it took 2 weeks for them to break the big story
It is kind of wierd to watch his interview where he says yes I made a mistake and I need to follow the rules like everyone else, but then pleads innocent ??

I saw the same news story. The reporter's reply to the speedometer going to 200 was "Oh, that's probably in kilometers per hour". Yet another example of clueless Cleveland newscasters. Of course it goes to 200MPH. It's a Benz.

 

101 mph......snooze............espn radio..was blasting him too....I thought...wow that's nothing....people around here including mysel routinely do 90.....he just hppened to get caught..... a non story.........
