Default New category for the forum

Hey something I was just thinking about recently.
I think we should
add a new category here on the forum for Crossfire meets
Then all members wanting to organize a meet could post a thread in this new area with a link to the thread in the region it is posted in. This new category would be used as a INDEX/REFERENCE to announce only all meets in one place.
Just a thought but with the many meets now being posted I think we should have a official place for all members to go to in order to see all the threads with info regarding group meets etc.

Please vote "yes" or "no" to this idea in the poll provided. Thanks , Gary

Gary,

That may be a Good Idea.

However:
You would still need Regions to sort it all out & make it easy to find.

Also you would need a USA or North American Category for Meets Like the Dragon, that Draws from 2/3 of the United States & Canada.

The 46 Dragon Drivers' (20) States Map @ 2/9/08
(Including DC, & Canada)

Just, my 2 cents worth.

If anyone on the forum goes to the category "Crossfire Meets" they can view postings for meets anywhere in the world.
It would be used as a INDEX/REFERENCE only and won't contain discussion.
It would be the responsibility of the person posting the thread to include the State and town in the title and then provide the link to direct members to the actual thread in the region it has been posted in here on the forum.
I have sent a PM to mightyjlr requesting the possibility of having this category added.

I am sure everybody has seen the Dragon thread if they simply look at daily posts. It should only need to be posted once in one forum section. It is now listed in the "Coupe" section ?? and would be much better placed in a new section for meets. In the fall it could be in the section I would like to see created. I have sent a PM to mightyjlr requesting the possibility of having this category added.
Well thought out and I have to agree.

Thanks for your support and "yes"votes.
Thanks to Mightyjlr (administrator) we have this new section on the forum.
Please take a moment to post a thread in this new regional section to announce your meet.

This is a directory (quick view index) of meets in all the different regional forums and will contain no discussion.

You may post a thread, but please:

1) Place the city and state of the meet in the title.
2) Post a brief description of the event, including date and time, plan, type of meet.
3) Place a link to the corresponding event's thread (which should be in the correct regional forum).
4) No one can respond to the thread, including the original poster.

If anyone has any questions PM Valkryderguy
