Default Favre calls it quits. Your thoughts...

#4 hangs it up today. Jeez, my twenty something kids haven't ever seen another quarterback play for the Pack. As a lifelong Packer fan I have mixed feelings; we have a quarterback who has been sitting on the sidelines for 4 years now who has shown brief flashes of brilliance but on the other hand we have a proven winner leaving.
I'm sure Bears fans are dancing in the streets...

LOL so are us Vikings fans... Its really too bad the old man is the best IMO the Payton boys need some work and Brady knows how to choke when it comes down to the wire. I dont see why the Pakers didnt just pick up Moss cut Brets pay and have another sucessful season. Everyone loves that guy in WI, I think the pakers really messed up on this one. At the same time I realize Farve wants to go out on top and a 13 win season is really very good but, He still has at least 2 to 3 good years left in him.

I think Bret made the right decision this time !
Not like that one he made against New York in his last game !
Sorry to see him go.

Why? Just 'cause your losing a good player doesn't mean we're getting any.
He's a damn good ball player, but I think it's a good move for him.

Hey, Johnny!

Not too many Packer fans could stomach Moss &, as it turns out, the rest of the receiving corp came of age this year anyways. But, I agree that he had a few more years left in him & I kinda wish he would've gone out without tossing an interception when 3 other players were wide open in the championship game. Ah, well.
It'll be interesting to see what happens later this year. Is Rogers the man? Could it be another Montana to Young thing? Time will tell!

I still wonder what will happen when summer rolls around & he's had 4 months of fishing & golf under his belt. I'd be willing to bet that he's going to be crazy bored & watching 'from the sidelines' just isn't his bit.
Max, are you a transplanted Cheesehead or are you just fond of WI teams?

Funny you should say this I was talking to my roommate today telling him not to worry Im sure Farve will pull a Roger "the Rocket " Clemens. Literally I think he teared up when the live report came on in yesterday watching ESPN lol too funny He is from MAD town though so you cant blame the kid. On a plus note THE TWINS beat New York today lol with there second and third lineup and Yankees playing mostly starters if not soon to be starters.

Born and raised in Stoughton (just south of Madtown), moved here (Alabama) in 2003, at their request. It might take a few more years, but I'll get them straightened out!

The biggest challenge is teaching them the PROPER way to tailgate. Walking (wading) through downtown Auburn to get to a football game is somewhat akin to a funeral march. These folks just don't know...

PARTY!!!

Actually, Cowboy fans hate to see him go. We could always count in him to throw the ball to us. All we had to do was catch it.

As a Packer fan for 40 some odd years I'm sad to see him go. But let's face it....they only won one super bowl with him at the helm. If I had to pick a dream team I'd still go with Montana.

Now THAT'S a shot I've never seen before. Probably a good thing, too, since I'm now blind.
