Here is the Large Hardon Collider web site:
http://largehardoncollider.com/

And an article about the LHC:

And if you actually want to know how it works:

What's the deal here Jeff. We were having serious fun and you want to bring "facts" into the discussion.

BTW, I'm 62 but I think I remember how a hardon works.

Well at least two out of three links was a joke.

I'll try harder next time.

Off the subject for a second because post #9 caught my eye... Sonoronos, what does it mean? "Satan, oscillate my metallic sonatas" seems like a clue.

It's a palindrome I believe. (I think that's the word) It's spelled the same forward or backward.

BTW....they fired up that collider overnight and we're still here. Must not be the end of the world afterall!

But I heard the hardon colliding won't happen for another month??? Or maybe the results gathering?

They tried the 'clockwise firing yesterday. I think the counter clockwise is today. So far"We are still here" has been the publicly released statement.

Now they plan the real firing, in opposite directions, but that is next month.

Meanwhile the scientist are making preparations. I assume in church.

I think they are still unsure of what happens when the hardons collide on a regular basis.

The hardons are not exploding, perhaps they are expecting a different result??

You can't fool me, Jeff......you've been reading too much Lovecraft &/or Derleth!

Well, Sonorono's, as long as the hardons don't collide & THEN disappear into a black hole.
But then that reminds me of some stories I used to hear about a certain neighborhood person of the fe..........

I think when the hardons are colliding on a regular basis, they decide to migrate to Key West, Provencetown, or San Francisco. Then they explode.

Not that there's anything wrong with that.

Unfortunately.....if a hole was to be ripped in the fabric of space / time, and it allowed other forms of life to travel here we're screwed.

What could they possibly think of Earth if the first thing thay see are the totally neutral Swiss, or possibly the French practicing a military drill (madly waving white flags of surrender)!

Arnt the black holes used to make the voids in their cheese? I thought that the swiss have been doing this for years.?

Woody Enjoy!

If you start experiencing strange things, or events appear to be happening in slightly the wrong order, then this could be the result of the Hadron collider not only damanging space, but time as well. This temporal damage will happen in all directions that tme can travel - forwards, backwards and sideways. As well as up and down.

The oddness will start to be more pronounced as we reach the epicentre in the temporal fractures (which will be the moment of collision of various particles). Have fun.

It is supposed to take four years for the mini hole to start noticably devouring the earth.
The important thing, will the dealer honor my warranty post apocalipse as well as they do now? Mine goes to 2015.

Perhaps if we check the archives and map the average size of the holes in the swiss cheese vs time we can see how long we have left ? I want to be properly detailed and have all of my mods done in time for the apocalypse !!
