it was obvious english was not sidez' first language, but even so,
it stuck out in my mind that he was a very bright individual.

I can't begin to express how much this saddens me and how, unfortunately, I know just how Slick must be feeling at this moment. I lost my older brother to an almost identical single motorcycle accident 3 1/2 years ago. It's just so damn senseless and hard to take. I am so very sorry for you, Slick, and for Sidez's family too. The suddeness of it all just makes it extra hard to take. My prayers are with you.
I really just don't know what to say. This is so sad. I never met the Man, but was looking forward to meeting him this summer at Carlisle.
He and his family will be in our thoughts and prayers.
Thank you Slick for notifying the forum.

terrible news but thank you for letting us know. was he survived by children or a wife/girlfriend? i should have his contact info if there is someone to send donations/card?
Hope his family does OK through this all. I didn't know him but grieve his loss. His loss reminds of this meditation by John Donne:
" ... No man is an island, entire of itself...any man's death diminishes me, because I am involved in mankind; and therefore never send to know for whom the bell tolls; it tolls for thee."
" ... No man is an island, entire of itself...any man's death diminishes me, because I am involved in mankind; and therefore never send to know for whom the bell tolls; it tolls for thee."
I'm sorry to hear about his death and my thoughts go out to his family and friends...
Thanks for sharing.

I was so depressed last night, I just couldn't stop thinking about Sidez. I went to bed about 2 hours before I normally do, then I had the strangest dreams about a person I've never met before.
Like it or not, this forum sucks you in. In a lot of ways we're like a family (albeit, a disfunctional one at times) but a family just the same.
You can see it at our GTG's how they seem more like family reunions than simply "car shows" and how everybody is just relaxed around each other.
Some of the people I've met thru this forum, I feel like I've known for years.
I can only imagine the sorrow Stan's family and friends are feeling over his terrible loss, but it's a loss that's going to be felt by this whole internet community in one way or another.
Like many here I'm sure, I wish there was something I could do, but of course there is nothing anyone can do at times like this.
Just the fact Stan made such a very big impression on those of us here on the forum who never actually met him, must say a lot about the man to those who actually knew him.
Very sad news indeed. Not a good week, the wife and I also lost a good friend on Friday after complications with surgery. Makes you realize life is precious and that every breath we take is a gift.
A lot or prayers will be going out for the family of Sidez.
