Insurance Point System ?
My neighbor at the lake has a Z350 Nissan roadster and asked how much I pay for my Crossfire insurance. I told him $409 per year with $1,000 deductible. He said that he pays $753 per year with $500 deductible and carries no collision for 6 months while he's in Florida for the winter. I think that my Crossfire limited roadster sticker price was greater than his.
He contacted his insurance agent to find out why he pays more. The insurance agent explained that there is a point system for all cars that rages from 1 to 25 and that the higher the number the more you pay, and that his Z350 rates a 24 and has a premium sports car surcharge on top of that. The agent said that if my neighbor were to buy a brand new Z06 Corvette the premium would be less than his Z.
I have tried to find out by searching the web to find a site where you could look up these rating values 1-25 for future purchase reference.
Any insurance agents in our forum? Any help on this topic would be appreciated.

if it even exists, you will likely not find that list.
don't forget that most insurance companies use a credit score to help determine rates.
the 1 to 25 thing sounds like BS to me.
you don't want to ask an agent, you want to ask an underwriter.
