I just noticed that on SRT6 screen name it says "Banned"

What did I miss? Can anyone shed some light on this?

 

i haven't seen him on here for a while! maybe that's why.

 

i wonder if he refused to get rid of the advertisements in his signature.

 

I just did a search and nothing came up. Maybe he has been removed now?

 

He's been banned for life - he replaced the advertisements in his signature with a link to his website - but I guess they didn't like that either. Heck - I have links in my signature.

I think it was pretty chicken-sh*t thing to do to a member that's been with this forum from day one - Dan leased one of the first Crossfires ... But what can you do...

Perhaps they will re-consider in time.

 

well im sure he is pretty pissed off. im surprised he didnt recreate a name. im sure if he came on. told the moderater he was srt6 dan and that he wouldnt have links in his signature they would let him back. but i have a feeling he is so upset he doesnt want to come back. that would be me!

 

I think the real problem was that he was always threadjacking to promote his emblems and the Code3 pulley. Still, he should only have been banned if he refused to heed multiple warnings *which he may have gotten).

You know there can be a very fine line between tenacity and PITA...

 

Don't get me wrong...he did go way overboard with the pulley plugs, but banning for life is a bit extreme. I don't understand why it is still ok for Andrew to sell his decals in the regular areas of the forum but everyone else must sell their items in the marketplace. This is coming from someone that has bought Andrew's decals (twice now) and a code 3 pulley. I have been on this forum for over 3 years. I do not post a lot, I mainly read and learn from other members but what was done to Dan was not right!

Let me see if I can explain this rule. You can sell any items posted in the for sale forum. Many of us post items for sale there, including Andrew. You just can't advertise in your signature. That's the rule. To my knowledge Dan was warned many many times. I offered to place his items in the "Market Place", but I think he kept challenging the rule.

He did and started with the same old stuff and was banned again (I think this has happened twice already).
He refused to comply with forum rules and continuously hijacked threads with his BUY MY EMBLEMS or GET A CODE3 SC PULLEY, etc.
The banning was something that was decided on by the mods and admin.

 

This is correct.
He challenged authority and rules here numerous times by putting ads back into his sig after they had been removed.
This went on for quite some time and he finally was banned after at least 3 warnings.

 

well ya know the old saying you dont know what goes on behind closed doors. i obviously didnt know he was warned so many times but im glad to know it wasn't just me that was getting kind of irritated by the constant get a sc pulley. i really wanted one but he was what turned me off.

So we can all sell cars, parts or whatever, in the regular forums, as long as they are not in our Signature, is that correct?
Because that appears to be what you are saying above?

He can change his name but he'd still use giant fonts, threadjack, and put a link on his GF's pic.
