Just noticed 'saskins' screen name in the birthday list and it brought back a lot of memories from the early days of .org. Saskins was way ahead of his time with this car back in '04 and '05. Some of the things he was working on are available today but he was one of the first to try it all. The man caught more grief than most, and was driven away by many, but I admired the man and what he was trying to do.

If you have nothing better to do some day (maybe on a rainy weekend), go back and look at some of this guy's ideas. Not all of it worked, but good stuff. Wish he was still here dreaming up stuff to try.

 

Dan do you remember when saskins and Dan Root got in the big argument and were supposed to have the big race that never happened. Oh the memories of this forum.

Got banned for his constant advertising within his posts after he had been warned to keep it in the for sale section.

 

I think he pedddles his products over on the CrossfireCommunity web. site.


On a side note, I miss FirebaseD. He always kept this forum stired up.

 

OMG Mike, he is the only one that made my ignore list almost immediately ..... and stayed there. Mean is one thing, but he brought EVIL to a whole new level.

 

Dan since you put him on your ignor list so quickly, you never got to know him, and realize what a "prankster" he was. He'd say the most "off the wall" things and just sit back and watch the storm brew. I suppose he just reminded of of a few "old" guys I worked with at B.F. Goodrich a 100 years ago, and I guess I just "got" his sence of humor, that's all.
There is only one person on the forum now that I've thought about "ignoring", but he comes across as such a complete A$$ sometimes, I don't want to miss his next comment, because it's usually so lame you have to feel sorry for him.

 

Was Dan Root the same guy as SRT Dan? About the time I joined the site some guy (I believe it was SRT Dan) said that he forgot his password and had to rejoin under a different name.

 

He had 2 or 3 different ones that he used over time but I believe that was one of them.

 

Yes Dan Root and SRT Dan was one in the same.

 

I remember when FirebaseD lost his son in Iraq, very sad.

 

You all sound like a bunch of old people who went to high school together and are remembering all the good times you all had. Works for me.
