It pains me greatly to think he is associated with the "Three's Dead Club" with Farah and to be put into the ground during the same time....may her body and soul be soiled not by his death.
3rd in 2 days ... they always go in three's. That's why anytime someone on the forum announces that they have totaled their XF I put mine away for a week!

By no means do I want to imply he wasn't a great entertainer, but there is no way I would normally accept their two names in the same sentence....
I agree with Erzer.....he was a great entertainer........ but......
I don't mean for this to sound as callous as it does, but you'd have to be insane to think he's been anything more than a pedophile for the past 20 years.
Now if only O.J would step up to the plate and keel over.

Sort of noticed that the major news coverage is not sure how to cover both of these breaking news stories at the same time without showing more press for one or the other.

There is no doubt that Farrah was a strong woman who shared her battle with cancer so that the world could be more aware. She seemed to have an amazing spirit, but she didn't have the worldwide cultural impact for 30+ years like Michael Jackson. It wasn't a surprise that she passed. I challenge anyone to say that their first response when they heard that Michael Jackson died was that someone was playing a sick joke.
It has been a very sad day in the entertainment industry with the loss of two iconic figures.
Well, let's see what the 11:00 news had on tonight...........
~15 minutes of Michael Jackson stories.
~20 seconds ...... of "oh ya....Farrah Fawcett passed away from Cancer".
~A minute or two of "180,000 people without power tonight, heavy flooding, road closures, and live power lines downed on major thoroughfares due to today's severe storms."
~coming up after the break......Michael Jackson't life in review.
Jesus.....give me a freaking break! There was less media coverage of EVERY president who's passed away! You'd think this guy invented life itself!

As for Farrah Fawcett, she announced her demise and literally broadcast it to the world. There were several weeks for the public and the media to mourn her very sad ending. It was fully expected, so the coverage was spread out instead of concentrated.
Most of the guys on this forum are pretty old. I'm under 30, so MJ's work shaped a lot of my childhood.
