average monthly KWH usage
just curious to see how my house stands up agaisnt others, 2000 sq ft. year round average 1150 kwh per month, hoping to bring that down to the 1000 or under range with the improvments i did recently, reinsulated, repaired, applied mastic to duct work, insulated water lines, insulated hot water heater.

I am averaging something under 800. Winter it gets down to around 550, but in summer 1,000 a month is likely. I'm in Georgia with this awful heat: 3br/2bth, 1230 sq ft on one level.
My heat is gas as is my hot water. I cook and cool with electricity, and of course, there are the lights, etc. Not that much of a load, really. And I live alone - the A/C is on 82F during the day for the dog (and so I don't walk into a blast furnace when I get home).
