Pole Dancing
Odd. I always thought it was just about sex.
But THIS is athletic!
(And I don't need any snotty remarks about how I stumbled onto this - I was researching
utility poles as antenna supports and youtube came up with this!
I'm a very wholesome guy.

I've never seen them do it with cloths on. This should be an Olympic sport.
Have you been looking for wire "strippers" on youtube as well? If so, for gosh sake, add a link!!!
You gotta love a talented girl, it made me wanna hang on a pole for awhile.

That is some real athletic talent.
Send the buck to pizzaguy as a covercharge
In gymnastics competition, they have a bowl of talc available for better grip on the bars. For pole dancing? A big bottle of Purell.

We had a pole like that at the fire house. Stood there for years, and in all that time I never saw it's potential.
Maybe we shouldn't have so eagerly resisted the female recruits into the service.

I've heard from a few sources that the stripper pole actually came from the fireman's pole. The guys would be sitting around after the work was all done and one day somebody's sexy little friend came in and changed history.

I have always maintained the importance of History.
Wish I could have been a part of that.

I gotta say that if Pole Dancing was made an Olympic even, I might actually give a crap about the Olympics!
Those are some serious athletes in that video.
On a sadder note, I had the misfortune of witnessing a pole dancing accident once. The poor athlete fell from a height of about 6 or 7 feet, landing on her head and shoulder (she was inverted). They had to call an ambulance and everything. I still don't know if she is OK or not.
So, to this day, I support single Moms whenever I get the chance.
