Default New York - Valentines Day 2010

Hi Guys,

Following on from my Las Vegas thread....https://www.crossfireforum.org/forum...nksgiving.html

My next trip out to the US will be New York for my wifes 30th Birthday and Valentines day (only 2 days apart).

Apart from the obvious such as The Empire State Building, Statue of Liberty, Central Park etc.. can anyone recommend some must see attractions. I'll be there for 5 days so not stuck for time.

I have brought a couple of New York guide books but would like to know from an insider what's best to see and do.

Shame the Baseball season won't have started, would love to watch a Yankee's game.

Having a beer in the Coyote Ugly bar is a must!

Maybe there's a decent show at Madison Square Gardens if not theres always hockey

Make sure you visit the World Trade Center. Just seeing it gives me goosebumps much like the way Pearl Harbor does. Never can go wrong with seeing a broadway show either.

World Trade Center is also on the 'to do list'. I got goose bumps reading the memorial plague at the Statue of Liberty at the New York - New York hotel in Las Vegas.

Hockey - I like the sound of that.

Valentines Day is also Mightyjlr's (Julian) birthday (and my son's).
Maybe Julian will visit and fix the picture posting problem and then you can post pics and show us what you did!

If you have time I would definitely go see a Broadway show, something that is a staple in NYC. Maybe Phantom of the Opera, Wicked, or something of the like.

Let me know when you are in town. I live an our away and would love to meet some friends from across the pond.

Sweet, my very own personal guide.

We saw Phantom of the Opera in Las Vegas but would definately watch it again, it was a great show that made the hairs on the back of my neck stand up when the music burst into life.
