Thats very sad , I hope he is well but ,the signs are not good, and NO one just leaves their XF on the side of the road and abandons it,,

 

Very sad indeed. FP, is there a way to go through the forum and find everyone from MN? I know we can go through and see where they live if they have it listed but is there a way you can do that if they didn't show their location?

Police name two suspects, ask for help

All the suspects have been interviewed and all the evidence collected, but St. Anthony police still don't have enough evidence to close the case on the suspicious disappearance of Harold William Schroetter.
Police now believe the 57-year-old Falcon Heights man is dead but have been unable to find his body.
Investigators publicized the case on the one-year anniversary of the disappearance, added a $50,000 reward and named the two main suspects in an effort to "jog people's memories," said Dave Bjerga, assistant superintendent of the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension. The state agency and St. Anthony, which provides law enforcement to Falcon Heights, are publicizing the case.
"Pretty much all of the investigative tools have been exhausted," Bjerga said during a news conference at BCA headquarters announcing the reward Friday. "There may be individuals out there who can make connections."
The prime suspects are Schroetter's then-girlfriend, Jacqueline Dubay, and her brother, Jay Dubay.
Bjerga said the Dubays have given "inconsistent statements" and "flat-out lies" to investigators in the past year. But they haven't been arrested.
Police still keep tabs on the Dubays; they live in the metro area and have talked with police "very recently," Bjerga said.
Jacqueline and Jay Dubay could not be reached for comment Friday afternoon. Schroetter and his girlfriend of one year were breaking up, Bjerga said, and Schroetter was having his will
changed.
He was last reported seen Feb. 25, 2009.
His vehicle, a red Chrysler Crossfire, was last seen at his home the next day.
That same day, Schroetter's attorney called Dubay to report that Schroetter did not show up for a scheduled meeting.
Dubay reported her boyfriend missing a day later.
Schroetter's car was found March 1 near Arlington Avenue and Jackson Street in St. Paul.
"It had no reason to be there," Bjerga said.
The BCA questioned Jacqueline Dubay on March 17 and searched her car, a white Chrysler 300.
Schroetter's blood was found on the trunk-release lever inside the trunk of Dubay's car.
Investigators also discovered that her brother, Jay, had replaced the car's trunk liner March 5.
The girlfriend told investigators that Schroetter might have gone up to Grand Casino Mille Lacs in Onamia and hadn't returned.
Schroetter worked for the U.S. Postal Service for 10 years and "never missed a day of work," Nick Schroetter said.
Schroetter described his dad as a homebody who liked to read and have friends over for barbecues.
"He liked to joke a lot, too," the son said, even if the jokes were never funny.
He said his dad also was excited to become a grandfather. Nick Schroetter and his wife were expecting when his father went missing.
The son said he was talking to the media Friday "so we can get some justice and some closure."
Bjerga called the case an active investigation.
"However," he said, "we have flat run out of leads."
He asked anyone living between the Twin Cities and the Mille Lacs area to take a moment to check their property and outbuildings for any signs of Schroetter.
The reward is coming from the nonprofit Spotlight on Crime, which focuses on helping Minnesota law enforcement solve violent crimes.
We will be presenting a case to prosecutors," Bjerga said. "We just need to fill in some blanks."
