Default Another "Pizza" story - again

Well, still trying to get over the whole "failed marriage and divorce" thing.

Bored with Ham Radio after 36 years... always wanted to try to learn a new pastime: Music.
And one instrument in particular. Can a 50 year old dog learn new tricks?

We'll soon see ($250 on Craig's list - you can find anything on there!)

You're going to practice so much you won't be able to drive with your arms maybe even to the point you won't be able to post updates to your story....are you sure you want to do this?

I think lesson one should be a practical thing. Like learning how to stay seatted on that stool after you had a couple Weihenstephaner Take care and good luck on your endeavor.

Great.........

We've already had epic story threads, picture threads, video threads, could this possibly be the first thread with sound clips embedded?

The "epicness" of this thread is just beginning!

All I can say is, this thread should have a happier ending than that "Pizza and Hope" one.

I mean, it HAS to, doesn't it?

I'd hope so as your threads usually end up needing prozac.

That may depend on how close your nearest neighbor is to you. I can envision an ending where a pissed off neighbor goes postal with a shotgun to your drum set.

Nah, no one close enough to know or care. (Besides, someone who drives a car as cool as mine can get away with anything! )

You know, at least ONE of you smartasses could have pointed out that I had the Toms mounted incorrectly.
I knew it was wrong, but really scratched my head - the guy had assembled them (not knowing how) so he could take a picture of them.
Then it hit me, he had the mounting arms reversed - the LONG part of the arm goes in the kick drum - not into the Tom!

I had to figure it out on my own...

That's better. Spent 45 mins fixing all of this, then about 40 mins on my lesson.
Sure have a hard time believing I'm ever going to make sounds that even I want to hear!!!
