I'm going to SEMA!!! Post up some part ideas
After trying to schedule it for many a year, I'm finally going. Me and my Dad are going as buyers, so what I figured I would be is a Crossfire ambassador. Since I have buyer credentials I can talk to companies about part production.
So I guess post up REASONABLE parts that a company would be willing to make in a medium run (2000 or so)
I was thinking off the bat, clutches, differentials, axles, driveshafts. Suspesion components and motor hard parts.
I think this would be a huge opportunity to go straight to the companies face to face and discuss realistic goals for crossfire aftermarket support.
Its going to be an awesome birthday present, plus we're spending a few extra days in the city of sin so I can fully immerse myself in all of the debauchery Vegas has to offer. I atleast want to hit up the bunnyland ranch and blackjack is a must.
I've only been to vegas once, and that was just long enough to sit out a connection to Norcal so anyone that has been there, give me ideas of what to do.

i really do wish you luck but i have been trying the same thing for the past several years there. i'll buy ya a beer there though, see ya in a few months
Well, maybe we can team up and try to discuss things as a group. I think if more than one person approached a company there with the same ideas and we could present a valid, profit making idea they might just bite.
I agree on the Clutch. There is not too much out there. The only big company I know that will do a clutch for us is Clutch masters, but they are pricey ($1075 fro Stage 1 and another $ 100 extra for Stage 2).
What I would really love though would be a short shifter for the manuals^^. Just an idea.....
And the idea of hard motor parts is even better, maybe something to increase engine size.......Just brain storming.....

I think I have an affordable clutch solution worked out with a local company. Just gotta get my car apart
A short shifter would be great, but as far as engine stuff goes. I know people are already sleeving the m112 motors. Ross makes pistons and pauter will make rods. I've got arp in the works for head studs, I just have to measure every single bolt and hole (read: need spare motor)
