One of our fellow members needs your thoughts and prayers
Re: One of our fellow members needs your thoughts and prayers
Prayers to Vince and his family. Praying for a full recovery. Business has been slow for me but I would sure love to pitch in $20 bucks or so towards his car payment or general fund. He'll have one less thing to worry about during the holidays.
Maybe one of you that are closer to him can set something up. Let me know.

Vince, I havent met you but sure do enjoy your posts. Life sure can be crazy and the only thing crazier are the tests God puts us thru. Keep the faith and focus on the positive my friend; we are all praying for your improvement and the power of prayer can move mountains.

Re: One of our fellow members needs your thoughts and prayers
I'm still waiting for a more in-depth update from the family. Last I was told was his surgery did not go as well as they had hoped but beyond that, nothing more. Thanks everyone for keeping him in your thoughts and prayers as he really needs all the help he can get.
Take care

Re: One of our fellow members needs your thoughts and prayers
I received a call from Vince today.
His surgery in Chicago was not as successful as they had hoped so he is now in a Texas hospital being seen by a specialist.
Not sure yet what else can be done to help him recover but for now he has limited use of his legs and his hands due to his injuries.
His injuries were to the same areas of his body where he sustained severe injuries years ago while serving in Iraq.
This is why the surgery is so difficult and why his full recovery is questionable.
He finds it very difficult to even type on a keyboard due to his current condition.
The staff at the hospital will hopefully be able to assist him with all his needs right now.
He is trying to contact people who have left him VM messages as he just now recovered his cell phone after it was lost for several weeks.
I sent this thread link to him in a PM so he can find it easily.
Hopefully he will be reading it today for the first time.
Unless he has help from someone else to type a response though you may not see him post here.
With all this being said he is still in good spirits and keeps a positive outlook on the entire situation.
His injuries were due to a physical attack and fall while on duty with law enforcement.
The specifics can not be discussed here but the attacker is in custody.
Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers through this holiday season.

Gary thank you for the update. Vince, my thoughts and prayers go out to you for a full recovery.
Re: One of our fellow members needs your thoughts and prayers
Thanks Gary, for theupdate.
While it is never good to hear of these conditions I was glad to hear that it happened "on Duty."
I know of too many officers injured off duty who lost support from their Department. Financial and Medical.
There is some comfort knowing he will be covered and cared for.
Best wishes ans prayers for Vince and his family.
