I like it! seems like common sense to me. I guess todays multi lane roads have blurred this basic driving concept.

I also think people think its their God given right to drive. Oh and the speed limit is 70 so why would anyone drive faster?

I love it!

Trouble is people do not understand the simple signs we now have.

Now they would be expected to read? And make sense of it while driving?

Can you say Traffic Jam?

I love the signs. People understand the signs alright, they just have the I'm more important than anyone else syndrome. I was out on the interstate on last Sat. night taking care of an accident and there were people zipping buy on the shoulder at 70 mph. Whatever they have to do is more important.

I don't think it is so much everyone thinking they are more important as much as it is people not being aware there are even other people on the road. The left sign saying "if someone is behind you" is pointless. Most people don't bother checking their mirrors ever. There was a guy in a truck today who had a massive line behind him going 10 under the speed limit. When I finally got past him I looked over and he was just cruising along in his own little world.

My mom is one I would consider a bad driver. Last time I was riding with her, complaining that she wouldn't move out of the left lane, she said that I worried too much about everyone else on the road, and I should just pay attention to me. I think that pretty much summed up what is wrong with people's driving.

And guess who taught my brother and sister to drive. Yep.

Nothing upsets me more than people driving 5-10 under the speed limit in the fast lane.

Great signs!

I think it is funny that on the way to work I spend more time in the right lane passing others in the other lanes with the exception of the trial blazers who help find the cops.

You do have a valid point, I might be that the real answer is somewhere between the two ideas.

LOL my Mom is also a terrible driver. Ever notice they act the same way when pushing a grocery cart, or walking through the mall? Always in someone else's way? There can be a queue of people trying to get around my Mom at Target because she's got the cart on one side of the isle and she's standing on the other, blocking the whole damn thing looking for a certain shampoo/deodorant/anything. While in the car she's constantly pointing out things I've never seen before. Things like road adverts, old buildings, "pretty tree's", and what other people are wearing. I'm like seriously? I get asked from time to time if I saw a particular billboard on my side of town and I always have to answer no. So earlier this week I drove into work (35 miles) and paid attention to all the adverts. Seriously that was the most stressful drive I've ever had. I had no idea where the other drivers were and I had a difficult time keeping my road presense.

So I'll stick to driving my way. Fast, Smooth, and AWARE.

Haha, maybe we need a poll. How many mom's aren't great at driving.

The worst thing is when she's going around a corner. She constantly turns in too much, then corrects. So through the whole turn the car is jerking back and forth. Definitely NOT smooth.

But don't even get me started on my sister. She is by far the worst driver I have ever met. I don't know anyone that is comfortable letting her drive. My mom won't even let her drive.

no one is going to read those signs....how can you read the signs when you are looking down at your phone texting? How? Won't work....

And I was that guy in my own world holding up traffic....of course I was cruising the posted speed limit through a "no fly zone" passing a car that wanted to run 5 mph under the posted speed limit....or I wouldn't have been in the left lane holding up all the potential speeders behind me....
