Maybe I should have got evil Evelyn more than a hand held mixer and a set of glasses for the kitchen

Yes, you should have..... how dare you expect her to use a hand held mixer, those don't work to well for the margarita fixings you should have also gotten her.

From some great friends, who have never seen our house, but managed to get us a perfect spice rack that matches everything in our kitchen THANKS FRANC AND CATH!!

And from the greatest girlfriend ever, I got a custom 'fat-head' that is about 4ftx3ft and is a picture of the now deceased black XF sitting in front of our favorite bar from Purdue - Harry's Chocolate Shop.

AND she made me a nice 'mini shrine' that is a clear display case with pictures of the old XF, a few of the keys from the car, and the custom shift boot and **** that were in the car....

It was a great Christmas indeed

I see you had a busy day shopping at Value Village, huh Beaner? Might have been better if you had sprung for a set of "matching" glasses.....................all I'm sayin'.

Green Ghost,

Your wife must have been talking to my wife! I got a stuffed African Grey Parrot Puppet for Xmas. Not only will it half keep my beer cool in the summer...

But it will keep my car's shifter warm in the winter too!

Of course the "grand Prize" Xmas present for me was a NOS Blaupunkt Memphis for the CrossFire:

Let's see:

Books.
Avatar on DVD.
More books.
Watching our neighbor & her boyfriend performing drunken snow angels on our front lawn.
Still more books.
One of those cool halogen lamp stands for the garage - I swear it's bright enough to be seen from space.
Shirts.
Socks.
T-shirts.
Yup, you guessed it - books
A puzzle which I think the wife actually bought for herself.
Son, daughter, daughter's boyfriend, daughter-in-law, granddaughter & grandson.
Watching the other neighbors attempt to push their POS pickup over a snow bank in an attempt to place it in their backyard. After a couple of hours they gave up. Good for plenty laughs.
Egg nog & brandy.
And one more time - books.
A bottle of that perfect golden elixir - Yukon Jack.

I heard free booze, you got my attention now LOL

Anytime you need me to come check things out, please let me know, I enjoy helping friends with tech toys almost as much as I like wrenching. I have a cable distributor at work we can get AMAZING deals on all sorts of cable, so let me know when you and Laura are free and Molly and I can come on up....

Will do....this bourbon I bought you is tempting me... Anyway, great Christmas for the old guy for sure. When the house was built, the speaker installers didn't talk to the cable installers, so I have no wiring to where the tv is for sound. Go figure. I got around it up to now with wireless set up, but that isn't going to work with the new technology. HDMI and all...lol....anyway, drinking and electricity sounds like fun....I will let you know....if I survive Friday night...

She was a good car, just like the rest of these addicting cars

So how is that new Graphite treating you? Was I right about the stick all along or what?
