Not Good !!! Gas
gAS HAS GONE UP 40 CENTS OVER FOUR DAYS , HOW BAD WILL IT GET !!!! WILL IT GET TO 5.00 A GAL ???????? OR MORE ????? HOLD ON IT GOING TO BE BAD !!!!!!
Spring is coming, and the price of gas rises like all the pretty flowers do.
That's why I have 3 motorcycles in my garage, that all get between 35 and 60 mpg, when I take it easy with them.
As the fuel cost rises, I switch vehicles.

You will see them go down shortly. The price of oil dropped yesterday with the unfortunate events in Japan who is the third largest global consumer of oil. The demand will go down for the next few weeks and as the supply exceeds the demand the price will fall a bit.

Thats one nice thing about living 8 miles from work. A tank last me about 3 weeks. My motorcycle gets 50 mpg so throw that into the mix and fuel prices are not much of a issue.
I really feel for people who have to drive a long way or use a car or truck in their job.

Susan put gas in the Crossfire Sat. and the cost was 50.00
Also another 60.00 for the 300C Srt8
Dam it !!!!! They are still alot fun

My drive to work is 26 miles, and my drive home is 32.
I take a different route home, because I hate getting stuck in traffic.
Its an hour and a half if I take the same way home that I take to get to work, but only an hour if I go the extra 6 miles.
Only problem with taking the bikes is I then have to fill up multiple times a week, since the tanks are small. Almost thinking of picking up a 5 gallon gas can, filling it up once a week, and filling the bikes up in the garage, to save me the time at the pump.

I am not ready to give in to the gas prices and rid myself of the XF.
However, I may very well have to consider trading in whatever I could get for the pickup and get a more fuel efficient car for my daily.

With the $75.00 limit on many credit gas purchases, I have had a hard time getting the tank full on the Dodge.
36 gal @3.89 = $140.04
That's two times to the limit.

BTW Remember when Diesel was the cheap fuel?

I think we have been fairly lucky in Colorado as far as gas prices go compared to other states. I can get 91 octane (the best you can get here) for $3.46/gallon. Pretty much all the gas in Colorado now is 10% crapanol though.

The oil and gasoline companies will hear you.
You have to keep quiet on this stuff, Itsky.

Brazil has weaned itslef off of gasoline by switching to sugar base ethanols. Sowhy doesPetrobras, a nationalized Brazilian oil firm get the first real deep water drilling rights in the Gulf of Mexico since the Ban was lifted?
Yes, I know Noble oil got a permit. It was to drill a byass hole into an existing well. Not exactly new oil.
I suppose it is better than getting Saudi Oil from the Arabs. But this will be US oil from a non US company.
More US dollars going out of the country.
Thanks Barry.

Taxes used as an incentives are a bad idea.
Here's proof.
Motorists in New York State can save big time on gasoline taxes by simply driving to neighboring New Jersey to fill up.
New York has the second highest state gasoline tax rate, charging 47.1 cents per gallon, while New Jersey ranks No. 48 with a tax of just 14.5 cents per gallon, according to a new report from the Tax Foundation.
California has the highest tax, 47.7 cents, while other states with low gas taxes are Alaska (8 cents) and Wyoming (14 cents).
The Tax Foundation’s report discloses wide differences in the state taxes imposed on other items including cigarettes, spirits, wine, beer, and cell phone usage.
Ironicaly, gas in New Jersey is still pumped by an attendent. It is the law.
