I went by the local mercedes dealership yesteday to pick up some coolant. while I'm waiting in line in the tiny parts room I overhear the lady in front of me's transaction. She bought a chrome decorative license plate and holder for $121 and didnt even bat an eye at paying that.

I dunno maybe I'm just cheap but holy crap

 

sounds like the price I paid for seat end caps on the 450SL I restored. anything cosmetic is expensive on a BENZ. I paid $30 to chrome highlight my Crossfiregary judicous user of bling.

 

I dunno. Maybe she got away cheap.

Just check out the price of a Crossfire OEM fog light for instance ($278). Or better yet, get the cost of the East Coast GSP CD for your Infinity radio ($1,504).

She should probably be happy that the license plate bracket wasn't a MOPAR part number. Because I think that it might be WE that are the suckers.

 

What did you pay for the coolant? I've found dealers to be much more expensive than auto parts stores.
