Default The "James Effect"

I have been reading the posts made by James (you know who I mean) for a what seems like a long time, and I have some theories that I think need to be investigated.

1, It could be that James is really a ten year old boy, who is quite adept at using computers. If so, he is not old enough to drive, and therefore it would explain some of his posts. It is also curious that he said he is taking a week off. Could it be that he is actually going to camp???

2. It is possible that James is actually an alien being, and that his avatar is really a self portrait. This again would explain some of his more interesting ideas and sometimes lack of basic knowledge concerning cars, driving, and life on this planet.

3. Could it be that there is really no James at all, and it is just an errant computer program stuck in a loop on this forum, generating random posts from a list of paragraphs in a database somewhere? The posts could be driven by key words in a thread.

4. It could also be that James is actually a high level Daimler Chrysler executive, testing out our allegiance to Daimler, Chrysler, and our beloved Crossfires. This would explain why he seems to try to divide us up with postings that sometimes put us in agreement with his views, when in our hearts we know it is wrong.....

5. Or it could just be that James is really what he says he is - a young man with dreams of owning a Crossfire.

In any event, when ever he posts to this forum, he generates very stong feelings, which I have termed as the "James Effect". This phenomenon needs to be studied and researched to determine the long term effects on this forum and its members.

I repectfully offer my services in this regard. All that is neccessary is for the members of this forum to offer up a small stipend in the amount of six million dollars in U.S currency for my expenses during my research. As soon as the required funds are ready for deposit, I will forward the number of a Swiss bank account for you to use.

I am sure that I will be able to determine and report back to you within five or six years. However, if the research has not been completed by then, I would like the opportunity to re-approach the members of this forum to ask for additional funds and time to complete this necessary and valuable research.

Resepctfully yours,

I can't pay you $6,000,000.00. How about a Subway sandwich instead?

The twirling smurfs was a nice touch.....

COME ON PEOPLE!!!!

This research has worldwide consequences and needs to be done. For the continued safety of the planet I urge to to dig deep and come up with the grant capital.

If all I get is a Subway sandwhich, then the 1/2 paragraph report will be done tomorrow, and written with one of Trick's crayons, or maybe on an Etch-A-Sketch...

Is that really the quality of work you want done????

I hope you will all reconsider.

Humbly yours,

8) :-)

I have to propose an alternative (briefly outlined by Wes already):

6. Crossfire Groupie. So badly wants one, but can't have one (yet), he'll do ANYTHING or say ANYTHING to get us to think he is kewl when (if) he finally does get one and shows up at a group event.

Actually, this sounds too much like so many government pork barrel programs. Lofty goal that cannot be achieved (a premise that cannot be proved or disproved), yet costs us millions (and no guarantee you won't keep asking us for more millions to produce nothing!).

8) I'm hoping you will get the $6 Million. Then ... I think the research should be taken to a nice warm climate .. maybe Hawaii .. and I will sign up to be your assistant :!:

This will give you a little insight into James. A very nice little bird dropped this in my lap.

I think it's very interesting.

Interesting voting site, but contains no proof!!!

PORK BARREL??? Now wait just a minute here....

If some guy can get a NOAA grant for the last 22 years to study some dolphins (Saw it on Discovery channel last week), and all he has come up with is to name them and say that he thinks they have sex for fun like humans, then I do not think my grant request is that far out of line!!!!!

And the study is not on James - that would be answered in one 30 second visit.....

This is to answer how and why he is able to pull such strong emotions from us from his posting. I see worldwide military and commercial applications from this research.

And Vegas, I was thinking of Hawaii, Fiji, or the Cayman Islands as a base of operations. I would not want the United Nations and/or our worldwide Crossfire forum members to think this was just an American research project. And of course the assistant job is yours, as soon as the bank account is funded!!!!!

Patiently waiting......

I can't believe I'm responding to the "James Effect, but I am." You've gotta love him though. It's like having your own personal teenager back in the fold.

By the way, is there no limit to the talents of WMichaels? If he's not tooling around autocross courses then little birds are making drops. Hmmm, very interesting as they used to say on Laugh-In.

I had to stay away from the forum for a while. I just couldn't take the bad info he was putting out. I even tried very hard to ignore him but then he would say something totally outrageous and I just couldn't hold back any longer.
