I was never a big fan of Steve Jobs... but I have always appreciated him. I love the ipad but have a droid and can't find any reason to switch to an iphone. Just not a fan of being restricted! The droid allows you to do so much more then an iphone ever will. After reading this article I have a new found respect for Jobs. Heck... I may actually get an iphone.

The only thing I don't agree with him on is education. Yes... I do think a principle should be able to fire teachers. In most non union schools they can. My wife is a teacher in TX and has her contract renewed every year (or 2) after an evaluation by the principle. If you really want to improve education then the parents need to do it themsleves. A good education starts in the home. Stop the sports and focus on education... make sure your kids are doing the homework. Teach your children to respect the teacher and do the assignments. Be prepared for class! As a parent, don't say the assignment is too difficult or make excuses. Excuses won't be accepted in the real world when your boss tells you to do something. Do your kids a favor... prepare them to succeed in the real world! Teach them responsibility.
