I wonder where the millions of $ come from? I smell scam.. My Srt6 roadster cost me $25,000. I would not trade it for any car I saw on BJ.
disclaimer; That is, If I had to drive and look at it. gary

Lots of cars making me scratch my head.
Boss 302's bringing more than Shelby Stangs.
Custom Corvettes selling for more than Perfect originals.
Beautiful "Baby Birds" selling for way less than they should be selling for.
Pick-up trucks going for 100k. Don't get me wrong, I love 50's pick-ups...but Geeeees!
I thought we were still in a recession.

I was there most of the week doing buffer demos at our big rig, but I had plenty of time to walk the grounds and check out the cars up close and personal. Some real beauties but some absolutely horrid garbage, too. Yesterday they sold a BMW 2002 coupe that was described as a no expense spared restoration that included fully stripping the body before primer and paint. They must have Painted it with a broom, and not a nice broom, either. And then they patched the thin spots with a rattle can in a reasonably close shade of the same red. Such a cool little car, but a total mess.
At least the Austin-Healey 3000 that sold for almost $120k was a darn near flawless Kurt Tanner restoration. Man, I wish I could afford one of his works of art - they are always among the most stunningly prepared at any Barrett venue.

My old Jeep sold at BJ on Sunday. Click on the link in my signature to see it at the track. I removed the blower before selling it.

My Crossfires are in better condition than any car sold at BJ.No restoration needed. but no fun. I enjoy restoring my MG cars. I still don't believe a Metropolitan sold for $40,000. The same price a Rolls Royce sold for. gary
