The AMG got some Wings
Not too long ago I sent my car up to Detroit to spend sometime in the NeedsWings shop. I know I know, after 4 tickets last year did I really need my car to go faster? Wellsimple answer is, no, I didn’t need it to, but I sure as hell wanted it too.
Rob definitely out did himself. First he Teflon coated the hell out of myengine bay. I have Teflon coated valvecovers, and Teflon coated intake manifold. While down there he installed a catch can to help me keep everythingclean. Next came the breathingmods. After all Rob is famous for thatDCAI he put together for y’all, and damnit I had to have it too. :P This is where he went above and beyond. This thing is absolutely gorgeous. We had discussed in great length my concernabout losing my AMG plaque that goes on the engine cover, and he assured me he’dcome up with something. What he came up withwas absolutely perfect as you can see in the pics below. Now there was only one more thing that neededto be done to wake up the beast that hides under my hood and that was to openup her exhaust. Rob deleted my frontcats and ran new tubing to the resonator. It now has one hell of a growl when you get on it, yet I can still babyit out of my neighborhood without disturbing the peace. I believe it’s the one thing that’s beencomplemented the most.
Now for the icing on the cake Rob gave a call over to Rudyand I imagine the call went something like this.
Rob: Yo Rudy,
Rudy: Hey man,
Rob: I gots a 55 overhere in motor city that needs a kick a$$ tune
Rudy: Well I got ashop over here in Chicago that delivers kick a$$ tunes. Why don’t you bring it over?
Rob: F’n A I think I’ll do that.
Next thing I know I’m flying up to Chicago to pick up thisbeast so I can drive it up to the Dragon a week later. I had one of the most capable cars I’ve everhad up there.
I have to say a big thank you to Rob and Rudy for makingthis possible. I’ve been flying on cloud9 ever since getting it back. I had agreat ride through the boring state of Illinois, and met up with Kyle and Jasonfor some good Sushi in Indiana. Got lostin southern Indiana looking for a Starbucks, I found it finally and then racedhome. The car is loud when I want it to be, butdoesn’t have a drone, and I can also keep it quiet. I’m still trying to find another spot to putthe NeedsWings sticker on my car and I need to get a few Speedriven decals aswell.

First time in my life I felt sick in my gut due to motion, but it took from the Lodge almost to the Overlook to do it.

I can verify that Nick's car is nicely modded.
I was riding with Tom2112 and following Nick and when he stomped that throttle all we heard was the awesome growl of that modded exhaust.
That is one Sweet ride ya got there Nick.

I was actually stopped in Kroger parking lot by a guy who was driving a S55 AMG wanting to know what I had done to my car to make it sound so good.
I rode with Nick for a run down 28 on Saturday. The car actually sounds even better when you are in it! It looks great under the hood & drives so smooth. The car doesn't get that wild beast feel of the SRT but it sure sounds that way. Of course the thing I am most jealous of is those stinking brakes!!! Holy crap can that car stop. Can I even get those for my car?

No longer a hairdresser's car, one hell of a beast you got there, Nick.
