Uh, does this eBay product look "new" to you?
I've just been had. Unfortunately I didn't know about the service manual already being posted on the site so I ordered a CD copy for myself, and it just came in the mail. The seller listed it as "new", tell me, what looks "new" about this package?

I'll be contacting eBay and PayPal if he doesn't get back to me by Monday, what a bunch of bs. So much for his 100% buyer feedback

No way will this be let go. The ad says Condition: New. A new what? Burned CD?!
Sorry, had to vent. But this will get disputed to the fullest.

The same quality that's in the SRT forum, lol.
The ad said it was a burned CD. I image he will return your 25 bucks just to save his rep. Sounds like you found out after the fact you could get it for free on site and got a case of buyers remorse. Next time read the ad and if you can't comprehend the words get some help.
I don't see how you feel you got taken. You received everything advertised. You didn't read the fine print.
Inform the seller you would have never bought a copy of the software if you realized it was illegally copied. Mention copyright infringement and he will probably give you your money back and tell you to keep the CD. A similar thing happened to me over some music CDs off eBay. The seller didn't disclose it was copied in the listing. He promptly refunded my money.

There is no buyers remorse, only priniciple and fraud.
I wish you luck. Like I said he has a rep.to protect. So I bet you'll get a refund. Somebody said to make this a life lesson. I agree. Technically everything he said was true. It doesn't matter what you think it should mean. SQ wanted to know how much you wanted for it. He may buy it. I just bought the hard copies of the repair manuels just because I wanted them. If it were me I for sure would not tell the whole world that I had been had. And to keep harping on it just makes you sound like a whiner. Again good luck. Remember my opinion doesn't really mean much.
Wow...not selling you any parts....lol Welcome to ebay... you will be wasting your time...I have never had any luck with them... Just ask for your money back, and I am sure he will refund it. I have to eat a part I just ordered because I didn't read the ad well enough. Sucks.... but my fault.... time to move on.... Besides, if that were Chrysler selling your that part, you would have to add a zero to it....
And you still have the product which is just as useable had it been what you perceived it to be. Congradulations.
This right here is the reason the whole world is turning into the sh!thole it is. No one takes responsibility for their actions and due diligence is a misnomer.
Cut and dry, you didn't read the auction. Finding out here that you could get it for free via the links in the various threads isn't an excuse for filing a claim against the seller with eBay or PayPal and you are using this as nothing more than a way to recompense your own lack of research. And as for the picture with "One used CD disc", if anything, the seller did you a favor by putting that on the packaging so you didn't get dinged for duties, taxes or import fees.

Have a safe and happy fathers day!
Read before buy : I sell a Digital File . Not the CD disc . The burned CD disc is the only way which allows the EBAY someone to sell a digital archive. That CD disc will be an "as home made" burned CD disc . The too small sales quantity does not permit industrial producted CD discs . You will receice a yellow envelope with a burned CD inside .

Honestly this is probably the dumbest thing I've seen on this forum yet. I've made these mistakes too, but rather than contacting the seller demanding a refund, I ate the costs. I'm sure you also get pissed off at the officer for pulling you over for speeding as well. Even when you were doing 15 over it's still the cops fault.
What he is selling is a service. and used/new doesn't really matter. It's a burnt disc. BTW it us technically new. You are the first owner of the product.
*** Rant over

Anyways, the seller cleared up his ad, I learned a lesson. Why this is still being "ranted" over is beyond me.
Happy Fathers day

In the original ad it clearly said that you would be receiving a "burned CD". It didn't say it was a factory sealed disc. It was your fault for not reading the ad and you got your money back. Consensus on this site is that you didn't read the ad well enough and still ended up getting what you wanted. It's being "ranted" on because you aren't listening to what people are saying and placing full blame on the seller.
