I let others drive my car or take it for the weekend. Not anyone, but a select few is more than welcome. Fuel tank must be full on return... No way in he** will I pay the gas for them to drive it.
You don't mention age. How do you feel about his level of maturity? Is his insurance current? Express your expectations. I'm sure he is aware of how much the car means to you. I vote yes. Could be a great opportunity for both of you.

Yes, I would loan out my Mercedes to someone I trusted. After all (and I know I'll be blasted for this) it's just a car. Let as many people enjoy it as you have.
Sure thing! I seen the way you drive and Nick can vouch for your lack of heavy foot since he followed us for 20km(1 hour)
I've never said no to anybody. I encourage my wife to drive it. After all it'll be hers when I'm gone. I was going on vacation one time for a week. I left my grandson to watch the house along with the keys to my Jeep. Only thing was I forgot to leave the keys. So he had my Crossfire for a week. He managed to put 480 miles on it. But no wrecks.....thank the lord.
Last time I lent my cat to my g/f, she backed up over the garbage can, interlocked bumpers with her own car on the street and blocked the road so the garbage truck couldn't get thru. So, I would be hesitant in lending my car to anyone
Well, I have to say, my son has taken a few of his babes out in the roadster. I held my breath as he is on his 4th speeding ticket. No Dad doesn't pull strings to get him off, although I could, lol.... But it has always returned in one piece. If you are close to your grandson, I am sure he will never forget it. Nick is correct, it is only a car. Limited, but a car none the less. Now loaning Nick my car....well............lol
My bestfrend has drove it with me in the passenger seat and my wife under same conditions. Wife could take it any time she wants but she is ultra cautious and I have never even seen her over the speed limit in the 25 years I have known her. Not one ticket or accident ever so sure she can take it out anytime. But no one else inless I am in the passenger seat.
thanks all for the advice talked to my grandson today an he changed his mind about borrowing the car
he said he would be very careful but afraid someone else might damage it

I let my uncle age 45 do a test drive this weekend.
Tought he is old and stuff he will drive carefully and slow, but i was wrong
He was driving 150km/hour were 80 was allowed, and overtook cars in corners wich i would never do.
I can tell u i was very happy when the car was back in its place.
I even caught my dad who drives like a snail doing 120 in a 80 zone.
Think this conludes: NEVER TRUST OLD PEOPLE IN A CROSSFIRE

I have to agree with others... Only when I am in the passenger seat and even then I am nervous. I am very thankful that my partner of 18 years is claustrophobic. Won't even back it down the driveway

When did this happen? I didn't notice any damage last week.

speaks volumes for his maturity. As other have said I'd have no issues with letting someone I trusted drive it, if it's damaged or wrecked the main thing is no-one is hurt - after that insurance will get it repaired or replaced as long as you're not out of pocket then "it's only a car" (in the positive sense of the word)
I would let him use it if he is a responsible kid, it's only a hunk of metal, a cool hunk of metal though. My issue with people driving my car is you can't see anything coming up behind you, and it's hard to back up. My Dodge Ram Mega cab is easier to back in a parking spot than my crossfire.
