Default Goodbye my dear friends

Well its no surprise to those that know me that i havent been active on this forum for months. After completing all the mods to Nina this summer, I somehow just lost interest in her. Im selling her to my oldest son, hopefully, and going to purchase a 4x4 suv.

Ive been drawn into the world of disaster prepardness and end of days survival. Ive been watching this planet and country of ours slowly implode and am convinced that the $hit will soon hit the fan or Jesus will pop in on us within my lifetime. Either way I'm going to make it.

Those that dont know me feel free to scoff. My brothers that do know me; take a second to think why a friend/member like me is taking such a change in direction and perhaps rethink the world you live in and hopefully plan ahead

Green Ghost will now a member of the ETS forum (Equipped To Survive)

Im sorry I never made it out to any of the gatherings and got to meet you folks in person.

Good luck to you all.

Faith & friendship

I won't scoff - just hope you are wrong about the future. (Based on the present, I don't think you are.)

Curtis it was a pleasure to drive with you during the times we had. You followed what was in your heart when you moved back East and you must follow your heart where it takes you today/tomorrow. I agree with Mark in hoping it is not the end as you feel as no matter the times, there is always real hope the proper change will in fact come about in this country and even the world...knowing humans however, I fully expect they will somehow continue to screw things up.

I hope your health continues to afford you the future you are looking for.

Best wishes my friend and be safe.

Eric

I don't know you personally but I've gleaned hundreds of your posts. Your contribution to the forum has helped me and many others I am sure. Good luck to you and your ETS...

Im fairly new here, very sorry to see you go.

I learn stuff here every day and appreciate it!

The world is a mess, no one knows what will happen. But, I have made the observation that people have believed "The End Is Near" for thousands of years!

Me and the wife have recently observed, if it does come down to survival time....an extra month or so won't make much difference!

But....

Wishing the best to you and yours...peace'

I don't feel I can plan for the end of life or know when it will happen so enjoy each day until there are no more.
What always has been important to me is to not have any unresolved differences with anyone I know.
Be sure that there are no people in your life that you won't talk to because of that big argument you once had that made you never speak to that person again.
Make peace with everyone who is important in your life so when it ends there are no words left unspoken.

My best to you and I know some of my friends here know you well.
I wish I had gotten to know you too.
I may better understand what you are preparing for.

Gary

You sir will be missed. You were a positive contributor to this Forum. I wish you the best and most certainly will not mock you (they mocked Noah) I will always respect a man who makes choices and decisions based on convictions. I don’t think anyone could argue with you based on your observations. Unfortunately we are not the country we once were, I hope and pray that we can return to the greatness we once were. I would not choose to live anywhere else; however I share your concerns. We as a society I am afraid will continue a decline until we find it in us to return to the basic principles that made us so great. We to often are unable to take care of ourselves and our fellow man without the constant need to rely on the government. My greatest concern is that we will turn on our fellow man during a disaster natural or otherwise. Just look at how we behave in some areas after a Hurricane. There is already in my opinion an element of our society that will take a life over a tank of gas, prescriptions, or a freezer of food if the government is not there immediately to provide it. With that said and I’m sorry if I declined this into a political post. It was not my intention.

Gary, your thoughts were very well said. We would all be best served to put those words to practice. See many of you next month.

Half these survivalists would be dead in a month if they could not have their coffee fix and doughnut.

Curtis, we've never met, but like many others here, I've enjoyed your posts. I would love to meet you some day, and of course I would never make fun of you in anyway.
I do have a hard time understanding the thinking that if the "End Times" are indeed just around the corner, I really don't know why a 4x4 suv is going to save your A$$ any better than your XF. Unless of course you have a hidden fortress that's only accessible with an all terrain vehicle.
But more importantly, I have to ask, if you do in all honesty sincerely believe it would, why in Heavens name would you ever sell your "Armageddon Challenged " Crossfire to your own son.?
What ever happens, it's really not in any of our hands, and the chips will fall where they may.
But good luck to you sir, I wish you good health and Gods speed.

My thinking is I need a vehicle that can operate with all my family in it on terrain other than paved roads. truthfully, the economy has got me so strapped Im finding it harder and harder to simply afford this car, ins, tires, fuel, maintenance, winter car

My son is pretty well to do and has a Murono and a ranger p/up so he's just wanting to add something to his collection I guess. It blew my mind that he actually wants it

Perhaps end of days wasnt the right term. I'm thinking more along the lines of the depression. Couldnt imagine the need for a crossfire on walton's mountain.

As far as hanging in after a catastrophe I feel most people would panic and are unskilled as to how to simply exist until help, NONGOVERNMENTAL, arrived. Ive found some horrifying first hand accounts of hell on the ETS forum from people in ground zero after katrina.

Anyways, Happy Friday

Gotcha, and I totally agree with you. This economy sucks. My job has dwindled down to a trickle. All the money I made when I sold my Viper went to paying off bills, and it hardly made a dent.
If I could sell all our properties, move into a house half the size of where we live now,or even rent a place, it would be fantastic. But property values in our neck of the woods isn't that great, and I don't know if they will ever recover.
Good Luck to you and don't be a stranger around here.

Hey! Psalm 4 is a good reference to add to your life. James 1:2-4 is God's Word about how to respond to our troubles. Rejoice in suffering is how we walk Brother. Our strength is not of this world. Read-meditate on Psalm 116:2-19! The Lord is our shelter in sunshine AND rain. We learn from Job chapters one and two that NOTHING touches us without God's express permission. This concept is how we are able to obey Scriptures such as those I mentioned in James (above). I KNOW it's tough.. I have a weak heart that can fail at any time and disappearing savings, but my God is greater than any of that! I will not become depressed by the threats of the devil. He is a defeated enemy. In over 62 years and three open heart operations God has never once failed me. Be of good cheer! He has overcome the world! Now put your spiritual armor back on (Eph. 6:10). He knows where you are; and He is able to deliver you from anything that hits the fan in this world!
