Default Just an observation

I know the forum has new owners, and to help offset the cost it takes to keep this forum up and running we now have ads.
I also understand I can "Click here to get rid of these ads" if I so choose. But for the most part they don't bother me, and some I actually enjoy.
What I find interesting, ( on a forum where "Politics" is taboo) why do we have to put up with some woman asking for our help to keep her husband from getting fired?

What ads? Really, I barely noticed them. If they help support the forum, no problem. Now if you could just press a button and get rid of the NEVER ENDING political ads on television and land line phones!!!!

As I said, I don't mind the ads, especially since they help finance this forum it's all the better.
The point I was making was how odd it is to have a forum where discussing politics is banned, but political ads are fine.
As Jerry pointed out, political ads on TV are enough to make anybody sick. And being on a "no-call" list is worthless.

Whats with the "Quote" button for the wink smiley? I've seen it happening in several threads.

I'm seeing the "Quote" button instead of some of the smilies. Maybe it's my comp.
