No Stealerships within 200 Miles?
Well, as some of you know, I have what seems to be a transmission Conductor Plate issue. Having paid for a MaxCare warranty, I figgered I was good to go with issues like this.
Not so it seems.
I have a case manager and a case number but after telling her I was told by my nearest dealership told me they couldn't/wouldn't work on Crossfires, she (Courtney) called all of the others within a 200 mile radius.
Nope. Nada. None. Zip.
Her supervisor suggested finding an independent repair facility and working through reimbursement. Wow. I pointed out that while I suppose this will work for me, I was absolutely unwilling to drive to say, Atlanta (Buckhead Imports, 120 miles) with a faulty transmission. They will pay to have it flatbedded to a facility of my choice.
Well, what do we all think of this? Any other suggestions for east Alabama?

When they do warranty work they get paid less than a regular customer pay repair, so there is that to to consider, they probably did and opted out. They are bastards anyway, as you can sense I am not a friend of stealerships and avoid them when I can.
How's Sarah anyway?
I always admired her nice pair of ..........glasses.

Max, I think it sux.
Isn't there any European/Mercedes independant shops near you?
I think it's amazing that Mercedes dealerships will work on any old (out of warranty) Mercedes ever built. But turn down Crossfire owners with cash in hand.

Good luck Max...I'm sure you will get this resolved
( I've been trying to figure out where to put my gun rack in the roadster for 2 years now....
maybe I'll mount it to the wind deflector with JB Weld or a coat-hanger )
Ducktape.
Not to be confused with duct tape. Diff'rent stuff.
ducktape ain't permanent, JB Weld and coat hangers are .....
3:00 came...and went without the promised call from Courtney. Buckhead says they will work on it. 3 nearby MB dealers said "NO!".
I'm going to push for a "direct billing" instead of reimbursement. It's not my problem. Or Chrysler can trade me a new Dart. I'll sell it and buy a BRZ or FRS.

I spoke to Kenneth Ford at Ed Voyles CJD in Marietta, GA a few minutes ago and was informed that
THEY WOULD BE HAPPY TO REPAIR MY CROSSFIRE. They have 3 CF techs on staff and have seen my issue before. And they'll fix both of my failed seat heaters, too!
Now, all I have to do is get a hold of "Courtney" and get the car flatbedded to Marietta.
Sheesh...

Damn, Max. I wish I were closer. We'd put her in the car trailer, gun rack and all and haul *** to the dealer.......
They'd fix her to your satisfaction or we would threaten to shoot the place up....well, maybe trash the bathroom...lol...
