Have a minimum number of posts and/or membership period before you can sell a car or items on here privately.

Same here:

Restore the political forum.
Make a user's posts invalid unless their location is filled out.
Create a "like" button (would probably reduce the number of posts and make searching faster.)

Im unsure if I support Sparkie's idea of a minimum time/post count before being able to advertise here. I mean, if someone has a Crossfire for sale, keeping it "in the family" sounds good to me.

Add Crossfire of the month contest. A lot of car forums have it.

There are thousands of political forums....this is a crossfire forum...if you are bored of your crossfire...then jump over to your political forum. We have a lot of new people on here everyday asking more questions about their crossfire, and we can help them. You won't help anyone discussing US politics but your own need to vent your political frustrations. Which will lead to discussions about "crossfire" but it won't be the car we will be talking about. We will be discussing calipers as not in the braking realm but of the firearm realm. Then we have created a gun forum which there are thousands of as well. Which will lead to the NSA monitoring this site. Which will lead to Homeland Security knocking on your door. I like our car forum a lot better.

Agreed, but I'm trying to prevent fraudulent sales of cars and items that don't even exist. Would make the whole community here a little tighter IMO.

Great idea. Shows pride of ownership and liven things up around here.

I'm with Doc here, we do not want this forum tainted with some of the extremist ideas we have seen before by some members who where expecting Armageddon before the turbo project by Corki gets finished.

I'm not on here as much as I once was, so if fraud like that is happening, then I support your idea.

The "car of the month" contest sounds good, too. I'm thinking of a certain V8 that recently started for the first time...

Why does it need to be a contest? Let us just pick a car and have the owner put up the info and share his ride... I think everyone here is proud of their ride or they wounldn't be here.
