Heard from Jim's daughter Lindsey that the funeral will most likely be some time Tuesday afternoon. She is going to get back to me on the specifics when she can. I'll keep everyone posted...

i met jim over 5 yrs ago at the first dyne day in atlanta with the eurocharged crew and the owner of buckhead imports. he wasn't looking for a tune but wanted to meet a bunch of crossfire folks and run his car on the dyno. unknown to a bunch he had the highest hp car of the day. always a smile on his face we became instant friends and talked often and always met at the dragon.

i will miss him dearly.

As these pages attest, there wasn't a human being finer than Jim. He would give you the shirt off his back and then try to give you his pants as well. Molly and I will truly miss Jim and his infectious laugh and smile. The Dragon will never be quite the same...

The only thing in the world larger than Jim's HP numbers or the size of his brakes was his heart, for that and many other reasons, he will dearly be missed.

Rest in Peace Jim. I wish I would've had the opportunity to meet you in person.

My condolences for the family.

I met Jim for the first time at the Fall Dragon last year, which was the first Dragon I attended. It is easy to see why he was liked by so many - easy going, always had a smile and was willing to help anyone. He welcomed me at the Dragon as if we had been long time friends. His enthusiasm about life and his Crossfire was great to see. I am lucky to have met him.

I appreciate everyone sharing their individual stories with/about Jim. It gives me a chance to paint a full picture of who he was and how he positively impacted so many people - friends.

Prayers for Jim and his family.

I never got to meet Jim ( Big Kid), but I can tell by the comments that he was a great guy. Such a shame to lose a really great guy. My sympathies to his family and friends. Enjoy the fact that you got to know him and maybe even do some events with him.

I've been at a loss of words over this. But I think Dave here has pretty much said it for me also.

RIP Jim.

I think there will be at least 4 crossfires at the service Tuesday. Maybe dinner afterwards if anyone wants to. If at all possible we can try to park together at the service or at least search each other out once there.

I THOUGHT I posted this before, but with a temperature of 103.5 yesterday, it would have come out garbled anyway.

Given my temperature and infection, I am going to stay away. My fever is gone, but I am coughing a lot and I know the infection is still alive in the lungs. While I hate doing so, I do not want to get worse AND I don't know if I am still contagious. I was around a guy at work for a day and think I got it from him.

I will see how I feel in the morning, and call my doctor - if she says I'm not a threat to anyone, I may change my mind.

Also, I have worked out the plans for his memorial Friday. Nick will lead the memorial ( I do not, in the least, feel qualified) and Shawn (maybe others) will speak at the Driver's meeting. (Actually, the meeting will follow the memorial).

Thanks again you two!
