Damn it. I wish I had seen this thread earlier. I called them to ask for samples for some mats. The girl said $10. I said "you are charging me for samples for non returnable mats" she asked what I wanted to do and I said hang up and call another supplier. She said hold on if you go ahead and pay the $10 I can take it off the back end when you order, I said OK. (first mistake). I paid the $10 and told her the 5 samples I was wanting. The samples came and 3 were correct. One not in the box and one completely wrong. I called and put phone down on speaker on hold. One hour later they picked up. I told them they sent wrong samples and they verified the sample numbers. The replacements came, they were both wrong. I called back today and said they sent the wrong ones again. They said sorry we will send the right ones. I got an email later saying your package is on the way. They were about to send the wrong ones again. I emailed Lloyds mats and asked if there is a problem (discontinued) with the colors. They responded no and they will send the samples direct. I called Carid back to make them send the correct ones even though I have the right ones coming from Lloyds. I also order a grille last week (before all this mess) I got a tracking number saying it is on the way. 2 days later I get an email saying it is backordered. What? Those people are clueless.

Wonder how that's impacted sales..

Might have been cheaper to have just done our wheels per our order..

Just makes you wonder how much this has cost them in sales.. But I'm sure it was worth it to them..
PS... LOVE the new picture drag and drop feature!

And the SAGA continues with them... After a week of "we have to confirm fit".. and me telling them its a custom application with Mercedes axles.. they have cancelled my winning bid with "item not in stock".. never mind they have been on Ebay for at least 6 months.

WTH are these ppl doing? Can they be phishing, or trolling for user information/ad bombing? Why would they say they fit crossfires but then say they will not ship unless they verify fitment?

MrM, why would you ever deal with 'carid' again after your past history? Or am I missing something here?

.

Did you see my winning / accepted offer? Those wheels have been there for at LEAST 6 months.. I ran across them last week and laughed.. Sherri said.. oh.. has make offer.. offer $200 .. so I did.. and it was accepted! So the games began.. On the CarID facebook.. review tab.. they stated they were returned to "stock".. Ebay report has been made.. so CarID just might get themselves canned over this stunt.. Money talks.. that I do know.. but I'd say they have themselves on thin ice.

If I would have paid that $1850 and told them "ship them.. I have a custom application and acknowledge there is no returns".. they would be at my door already.

I had gotten an email last night when they "cancelled " my win.. "seems they are no longer in stock".. and the above response says what???

I think this is quite hilarious, obviously they are stuck with them and should be glad that you offered $200 and not your usual $5.
Do not give up as you may just make them ihonour a contract.

Being a "sponsor" here I really didn't think about checking them out prior to our purchase... Guess the online reviews say enough..

Greg. I thought the "wheel" issue had been settled?

That was the old issue, this is a new one. These wheels are far from settled, they keep on turning.

Yea, and Greg will be turning in his grave long before those wheels are turning on his car.
