GeneralThis section is threads for discussion that is not related to the Crossfire or other cars. It can be about sports, movies etc. - But NO POLITICS please
After tried couple launches and in association with the great Crossfire and SLK habits, I determined the Drag racing is just not my thing, so I went for a session for AutoX school with Columbus(IN) region and Indy region DragCross.
I found them much more enjoyable , and the car sounds great too.
I have to get back into doing those things....good job buddy...
Thanks Doc!
They're around every year, whenever you feel like it
For me, it is a cheap and safe way to get some excitement out of the car, just not the "drivers have to work" part, but I understand it has to be done.
More Videos the Sunday run. Next one will be May 15th. The car feels quite balanced, although slight understeer, but does feel right when tires are not overheating.
Shibing, I just realized if I close my eyes and just listen to your video, it sounds like I'm listening to the sound track from Steve McQueens movie "Bullitt.
I know some people think the Mustang's handling is way too heavy, but you looked like you tossed it around pretty darn easy.
I know there are times you miss your Audi, and SLK, (even your Crossfire) but none of them ever sounded as good as your Stang. Glad to see you're enjoying the heck out of it.
I did try use RaceRender 3 just to see how it turns out. I still need to work on synchronization of the gauges and map and video though. Just not today. The speedometer is not exactly correct on the RaceRender data logging from my iPhone, so I'll have to look into that.
July 3rd, Indy Region @ Grissom Aeroplex. One of the rear tires tread has chopped off during the event, so I was only able to make 3 runs out of 5, but I do enjoy how Indy region setup their course.
This probably will mark the end of this year's event unless I found some worthy ones to run during the move.
Looking through the videos, It does seem the driving went noticeably faster and smoother. I think the events had helped me learn the car, learn the capabilities of the suspension, also helped me learned how good the road manner this tire does, and how bad grip it is compare to some extreme performance tires like RE71 and RE11s, and of course, slicks.
Damn it. I was off that wknd. Wish I had known....love to meet and watch you run. We might have got the roadster out again. Although I let my membership laps. You let me know when you are that close man. I'm just 5 miles east of 31.

Hey Doc!
Too bad! I slept over on Saturday had to call them to save me a spot, it would've been a perfect event for you to come, small group, got done by 2PM, had free runs all the way till 3:30, was great!
