2003 made in Germany vs. 2004 made in the us?
Hi all,
I am trying to find out if there is any difference on specifications or anything, parts etc when comparing the first crossfire made in late 2003 coming from Germany vs. any other year made in the us?
Thanks!

They all were made in Germany, your post makes no sense whatsoever.
Ok. I was discussing with someone and they were telling me they were made in the US from 2004 on and only the first ones were made in germany that specifically had 2003 listed on the door panel.
Thanks for clarifying!
Thanks for clarifying!
Also, discount any rumor that some Chrysler parts are in the car. The only part Chrysler added was the bill of sale and it was likely printed in China.

.

So I'm in desperate need of a center bearing and support, parts place sent garage wrong part so I've been tasked to find one, everything online says 2004 to 2008 but I'm assuming from everything I read on here that it will be the same part 01234581M if anyone could confirm you'd be doing me a favour, I just can't afford the time or money getting more wrong parts.. MOT looming lol
All crossfires are the same. I believe the first ones were considered 2003 in Europe and because of the amount of time it took to transport them to the US were considered 2004, even though they were built in late 2003.
Thank you, I thought as much about being the same but always best to check.. Its just had new brakes, new ball joints, handbrake done, I overhauled the air intake system last year.. I recon I could register it as a 2025 plate soon, be nothing left from 2003 😂😂😂

I just replaced my center support bering and as you I was confused about the two different bearings being sold. I ordered both and returned the one that wasn't just like the bad one. "Appears to me" that either will work for automatics or manual shifts. I found one that advertised for standard tranny, $23, and used it and returned the one that advertised to fit all Crossfires. However the A/T was more robustly built. "Only" took me four days to get it changed and put back in car. LoL. My U-joint splines were rusted solid into the front part of the driveshaft and eventually had to pay to have it separated. Don't forget to grease the splines and check both the flex discs for excessive wear.
Thanks, the garage is doing my repair, he's already done the rest of the work, checked everything else but was sent the wrong part 🫣 when I search only one comes up that will fit the automatic and says all crossfire 04 to 08, doesn't seem to be any other option so I hope it's the right one 🤞🙄

I hope your mechanic is also replacing both of the rubber flex discs as well.
Here's a post I did when I replaced my driveshaft bearing and flex discs:Driveshaft support bearing & flex discs replacement

Here is the correct part. I used this when I replaced mine. I have a manual transmission in my Crossfire: https://needswings.com/driveshaft-support-and-bearing
