I got advisory on mot
front anti roll bar bush or pin worn . Cannot find this in any usual car parts places in uk . No main dealer either . Any idea where I can find this
gsf. Have me this part number. I’m not sure if it’s correct . 5098933AA

 

That is a sway bar bushing and as far as I know discontinued. You might try Mercedese but not with our part number. 2003 Mercedese SLK320 suspension. I found them on Ebay, just not positive they are identical.

the mot guy showed me play/ movement on the metal rod going into the wheel

From what you posted, I am not sure your looking for a swaybar bushing. Can you take a picture of what you are talking about and post it here? Thank you.

i will get car back on Monday and try to take picture
the mot guy had car on a pit . The wheels were on some metal plates that vibrated ghe car . He told me to put my finger on a metal bar going into the drivers side wheel . There was play or movement at that point. Ghe free play movement was in and out when I suppose the wheel and this bar should have moved the as it was connected without any play.

he said it was the front anti roll bar

 

abdul, click the link for diagrams and part numbers. The part numbers are for a Mercedes SLK 320, R170 frame which is the same as our Crossfire and the parts are inter-changeable. You can get the parts at Mercedes sources.

so if I can get the mechanic to identify the part
can I walk into a Mercedes parts place and buy from there.

 

Probably not, most Mercedese Dealers will ask for your Vin. number and if it is not a vin for a Mercedese SLK320, will not sell you a part. You might go on Ebay or a cars sales site and borrow a vin?

Perhaps in the UK they are not so picky. It might not hurt to try?

 

As ZERACER suggested, I would find a 2001 - 2003 Mercedes-Benz SLK 320 for sale online. Copy the VIN and go to a M-B dealer. They can probably track down the parts.
You can also contact these guys: Chrysler Crossfire Co. UK They have a whole bunch of parts and can probably help you with what you need.

spoke to the mechanic and these are the correct bushes. I will order these

I also need the long bar that is shown by the bushes
the bar that contains the bushes

I’m assuming this is the sway bar

its number 13 on the picture
labelled as stabiliser bar

any link for this would be appreciated
