Default Interior Panels (Silver) Flaking

I have 2004 XFire Coupe. There are a couple of areas on the interior panels that are flaking. Any suggestions?

OP:

Is the silver flaking off the interior door handle? It feels like, when I close the door, that the seem on the inside of the handle is rumpling. Or are you referring to the center console?

Hijacker:

I have sounds in the rear of mine, seems to be coming from the seat belt tower area, near as I can tell. The car is so accelerating to drive that I sometimes don't even notice the creaking about. This might be best in a new thread, tbh. Hijacking isn't the best approach.

Here's an interesting comment from today's Car magazine review of the new MB McLaren SLR Roadster:
"The engine layout and packaging brings a cramped interior, especially for a car that is supposed to be a GT. And quality isn’t great either: the centre console is a mix of Merc SL bits sprayed with the same silver paint found in the Chrysler Crossfire’s interior. Maybe that’s a bit harsh, but you get the idea."
This new SLR McLaren Roadster is priced at nearly $700,000 USD. I wonder what they would charge for touch-up paint?

I have the same 'rumpling' of the silver at the seam on the interior door handles. Didn't have that addressed but...

I just had the center console replaced because the black rubber was flaking off. It was under warranty but the dealer had to take pictures of the damaged area then submit them to Chrysler for the OK. I got the OK the next day. They had a console in stock so I made an apt. to bring it in that week & was a 4 hour turn around.
