Default Center dash removal (aluminum pieces)

Did a search ...?

can anbody advise me on removing the 11 pieces to the center
dash area (the aluminum looking pieces).

IE do you use a license to pry them up / off ?? are there clips
holding them or are they just press fit ?

Thanks,
Ken

I also tried some of the suggestions here and could not get them off. they felt like they were going to crack.

I am going through the same thing. I found one post that said once you remove the radio (needs special tool) that there are screws on the panels and then they pop out. I haven't tried it.

Please let us know what you discover.

You are correct. There are 2 "keys" that go into the key slots on the radio head unit (the horizontal slots in the lower corners of the unit). Once that [head unit] pulls out there are a few screws to remove. Then the panels come out.

I haven't done this yet myself but have read the instructions several times from Mitchell Automotive (requires account with them) to familiarize myself for my gauge install.

Any chance you could publish some more of that interior removal stuff without going to jail?

I was able to attach the file above. (It is actually 3 sections for removing the lower instrument panel, console cover & then the center console itself). The instructions for removing the portion between the seats are attached in another thread...so it wouldn't allow me to attach it again here.

Thank you, Danimal. I need to change out a couple of the pieces on the center console, but couldn't figure out what was holding them.

does anyone know how to remove the "curved" plastic piece that goes over the instrument panel? I'm not even sure if I'm describing it correctly. goes to show my lack of knowledge with cars. I'm trying to take the plastic curve piece that is attached to the dash. thanks in advance for the information...
