Alright I mod computers as a hobby (see gallery) and I've used this stuff plenty of times in some of my builds:

It's basically a vinyl film that can be applied to nearly anything plastic and will contour to fit curves and whatnot with the use of a heatgun.

So for about $28 bucks you can land yourself two 24x15" sheets and should be able to do the entire center console..

I am thinking about giving it a shot once I figure out how to take everything apart.

Just curious to see what everyone thinks about it?

is cheaper stuff, but I haven't ever used it so I don't know how well it contours with heat..
