Karmann Badge on Dash
I added this Karmann badge to the lower center of my dash.

Just in case I want to restore it to original I picked up a spare panel on that big auction site.

oh oh! You drilled holes in your Crossfire! The mod police are going to come out in force now.
I like it. Web site is good to. Some of the pics wouldn't load in Firefox though.

My vehicles all know well the sound of a drill. The first warning is the click-click of the center punch, then wham-o, new hole. The way I see it in this case, the worst I have to do is purchase a new panel for the seatbelt light... Or if I decide I don't like the badge (not), I could use the holes for some LED's...
Which pictures would not load? Just want to see if there's a pattern or obvious problem. Give me the file name or page etc. and I will look at it.

I was wondering how long it would take for someone to catch that.
The answer is...Photoshop...
I just wanted to show the effect of the badge without the gaping hole or connector plugged in (normal state)
The badge is really there, but I chopped the socket out. I like the look too, and want one!

What did you do with the seat belt button? (Curious george)

I was hoping it was real because that would be one less thing I would have to make from scratch. Then I'd just have to fill the gaps between everything and then be on my way but that hole might be a problem when cutting everything out. I am actually going to be making a Double-DIN dash panel for our cars.
Following up on my modification, I ordered a replacement part that I drilled so that if I ever decide to restore the dash to factory I can simply swap the panels.
The part was cheap and came in new packaging with an interesting parts ticket stuck to the back.

Elsewhere, I have found the "ZH" designation (PDF Owners Manual from Chrysler), but I found it interesting that the internal reference on the parts ticket was "Crossfire (Karmann)". How ironic...

I just cut off the screws on the back, ground them down flush, and used auto trim double-sided tape on the ends (not over the indicator light) to stick mine on the panel.
