Im not hating on the console, I just think instead of buying a whole new interior, I would go with the carbon dipped. The silver pieces are expensive I cant imagine the price of those and especially sent from europe.
I took a look at the startech site, the console they show has a much more course pattern than the Z32's roadster. It's also shiner. I prefer finer pattern and the matte finish of Z32's. I will keep looking for a match, the closest so far was the one that Quaces (thanks FP) used in their chrome trim advertisements. I could not find that they also sold the console.
autoXclusive has a carbon fibre kit for the lofty sum of $2300.

Saw the prettiest one I've seen yet on Ichon's in Carlisle, mine should be here in the next day or two. The guy it came from told me that he uses real carbon fiber not plastic imitation stuff. Its also molded, not flat so the fit is real nice.
I have to give Chas all the credit in this one, until his I was up in the air.
Burtman Industries is the company.

This stuff, in my opinion looks terrible. You can tell it's just a screen printed sticker. Silver screen printing over black vinyl isn't where it's at. You can get "kits" like this on the internet for about $30. You get what you pay for. The only REAL carbon fiber kits that leave no edge gap that I have seen cost about $2,000 and are actual replacement parts for the factory trim, not overlays..
SRTSIX, eventhough his isn't true carbon fiber, looks 1000000000000 X better than what is shown here. Just my $0.02
Z-32's console might be this type vinyl overlay, with a hairdryer you can get it to form to all of the creases and curves.
Pretty cheap for alot of material, durable as it is designed for outdoor use and.........you dont have to take the console apart. Even though its not real carbon fiber, it seems better than the stock silver paint at a great price.

Well, all tastes 're on Earth !
Personelly, I don't kerr if someone likes or not my central consol !
The most important is this consol is an official option from Chrysler (ok for the Europe, and ?...).This is not tunning !! .. and for me and for a Crossfire-fan is very rare and about this; it has no price !!!...

Z 32....
Don't let anyone get you down.
I like the fact that your console is low-shine (unique and attractive). If I could find it as an add on accy here in the US, I would be interested to see the pricing. But I think I will be unsuccessful in the search. Its been that way so far.
We have allot of tuners in this Forum, people who like to make there cars special (Mods) and Carbon Fiber is one way to do it. There are allot of options (and opinions) for Carbon as you can see in this and other threads. I for one think your Factory Mod looks great.

I agree - think your interior looks terrific. The basic "brushed" silver is ok, but I know that after time - it's going to scratch off and look absolutely terrible. That's when I will look for alternatives
But in the meantime - enjoy your car - it's cool

My Carbon Fiber center console pics are now in my gallery. have a few pieces left over that I'm not sure about. Don't want overkill. The CF and the new Alpine really go well together. Very easy mod in hot weather.

The bottom pic looks like a dash I had done at starcraft Startcraft Automotive. I posted some pictures of a vette dash that they covered in a "dash kit" thread on this forum The finish looks identical.
It was several years back when I talked to the customer. He sent about 4-5 of his dash pieces to them. I'm pretty shure he told me it was starcraft. Its a fake finish, but looks pretty close to the real thing. Im not sure but I think they use a hydrograhics process and then shoot a clearcoat on it. I think it cost him under 200 for the centerconsole and some of the dash pieces. Works awsome on curvy surfaces. Check aout the gallary from this company http://www.dip-tech.net/index-2.html. They do hydrographics too, but you can get pretty mutch any finish you want. I used to install the stick on dash kits and really never liked them. I think a glossy burl wood or other exotic wood finish would look pretty nice. Most newer luxuries have fake wood dashes anyway. The real wood dash coverings never seemed to last too long without going to crap
