Default annoying seatbelt beep!

ok so does anyone know how to disable the beeping or even the flashing light that displays in the dash when you dont have the seat belt buckled? mine does it if the car is idling and no one even in it, also im tired of hearing it in the drive through. anyone do it? do i just unplug it under the seat? do i have to pull the seat to unplug it?

Good question! I always drive with the seatbelt on. But I find that noise VERY annoying when I’m just moving the car around on the driveway.

oh & to all of those about to lecture...

i do wear my seat belt 95% of the time. i remove it when setting up my real estate open house signs... driving slowly from corner to corner and hearing the chime was overwhelming... and moving my car around in my driveway... ding ding ding... no thanks!

others in the past expressed... they hated putting it back on driving up their long driveway after obtaining the mail from their box... driving around slowly in a parking lot, etc.

Mine must have been done by the previous owner. I always thought that was how they all came, lol.

I suppose there's the alternate method...to wear the seat belt.

I bought a seat belt extender from the dealer for 28 bucks. It comes with a new buckle and seat belt. just cut off the peice you need and stick it in the buckle. i usually just leave it in there all the time and never hear that sound again.
