Perhaps we could add to this sticky with bulb number replacements for all interior lighting (along with the map lights, I'm assuming there are footwell lighting, perhaps lighting on the inside of the doors, etc) as well as for the license plate lighting. I'd like to get a shopping list ready for my new (to me) Xfire coming in the next few weeks!

Just an observation.
Ive 6 LED in red and the illumination is weak (but cool looking) doy you think the 12 LED red or green would brighten it up better? Also, are the superbright white 36 festoon license plate lights are ones that give off the HID blue/white look? Just want to clarify before ordering

At first, I thought you just wanted to feel more comfortable driving in the red light district in Denver.

Nice post and glad it is a sticky, but I'll have to think about the light color a while.

Twelve lights would surely be brighter. The six provides ample light to cruise through any neighborhood in Denver.

SMD means Surface Mount Devices and they are much brighter that other LEDs The superbright white are the HID match units.

The 36 festoon LED would be OVERKILL. I have something in the neighborhood of 8-12 and even with my smoked plate cover, the lighting is plenty and looks very HID-esque. When I park my XF next to my friends new IS350 Lexus, the license plate lighting is almost identicle, very clean looking....

What bulb is t10s? In that, where does it go? I bought the 6 led reds from superbrite and actually ended up using green 168 bulbs from autozone. The 168 is the same bulb size but only like .003 watts brighter. You really dont need the twist in adaptors or to remove the maplight housing just pull the bulbs out. Mine broke and Im sorry I ever messed with pulling it all apart to change a bulb

Everyone, I have updated the links on post #2 to the correct URLs. They changed their page a bit and the original link took you to the wrong page.

Was getting the plastic cover or housing off easy? I have one map/reading bulb that is out and I have not taken it off before. Don't want to screw it up because wife will not be happy.
