Headliner sags
Headliner sags
Hi, New to the forum and i will have to say its great! got so much information for my crossfire. My question is, has any body had a problem with the cloth of the headliner sagging!just on the drivers side. Wondering if i should try to fix it myself or have somebody do it. Is the headliner easy to take out and what do i use to fix it. Thanks!
Re: Headliner sags
I am also experiencing this problem. I initially used some adhesive headliner spray, but that didn't work for long. Now the entire liner is sagging, so I'm going to take it in to have it looked at. I think that the edge came loose first and then the wind/summer heat caused the rest to sag as well. I'm also going to put wind blockers on my windows just to be safe.
P.S. If you don't already know, some chrysler dealerships don't know how to fix crossfires or don't have the parts on hand. I take mine to a friend that works at a Mercedes repair shop. It ends up being cheaper and A LOT faster.

Re: Headliner sags
This is a common problem and happened to me. The factory must have used bad glue and I know they didn't wrap the headliner properly. I had a local guy redo the whole headline for 120 dollars. Dealership was too expensive... plus I figure why get the same old crap.
All headliners will eventually sag and fall.

Re: Headliner sags
I got mine used, it was 1y old and near the A Pillers by the sun visors it was just starting to come off there when I bought it. Now, 3y later I was driving down the interstate with the windows down and the whole thing fell at once... I had to pull over and cut it off with my pocket knife so I wasn't driving with the headliner hanging in front of my eyes.
I went to Michael's and bought some headliner material (you need 2 yards) for $25 (looks exactly the same as OEM). And I bought a can of 3M Headliner Adhesive for $10. Took me about 4hr total but I refinished it and it looks better than the day I got my car. It's not that hard.
