HI guys,

I knew some guys managed to install the R170 SLK seats into the Crossfire. Any idea if we can fit the R171 SLK seats? I'm really serious about swapping it...

I don't know of anyone that has switched them but I am aware that those seats have the windscarf installed into the seats so you would have to figure something to do with that

 

Let me take a look at the service documents for the R171 and see what would all be involved. I'd also check the measurements to make sure they will physically fit as there is a lot more tucked away behind those seats than there is in ours and you may end up losing a few inches of room in the process.

 

yeah, I have a r171 and I feel they are a bit shorter leg length wise than ours, though the convertible top makes up a couple inches

 

do you have the R171 seats or the actual car? they are so nice my fiance' wanted to get the SLK55 AMG, it was at a repo auction previous owner couldnt afford to pay the note lol

 

I own the car. if I got time I may be able to do some measurements but I just don't see myself pullin the seats out and trying to fit them in my SRT.

 

The SLK seats certainly looks much thinner... deceiving... but still nice! There is a pair on ebay and im very keen in getting it.. only if it works...
