Interior door grab handle burrs
I had an issue with my 05 SRT-6 Roadster. Since I have owned this sweet ride. I have noticed that on the inside of the interior door grab handle has sharp burrs that will cut your fingers when closing the door while seated. Since the grab handle appears to be wrapped wih brushed stainless sheetmetal or aluminum with the sharp edges of the seam located right were your fingers contact the back of the handle causing cuts when you close the door. I deburred mine by using a small jeweler's fie and care not to scratch the exposed brushed finish of the grab handle.
So far this has been my only issue with the car. I bought it 18 months ago with only 2900 miles on it. I've put almost 2000 miles on the car since then.
I do have to say the crossfire SRT-6 is a nice performnce sportscar for the money.
thx.

If you still have the 3year/ 36,000 mile warranty they wiil replace them. I had to have mine replaced for the same reason. You can find the TSB file here on how to replace it if you don't have a warranty.https://www.crossfireforum.org/forum...or-handle.html

When they honored the waranty on Cathy's Control Module,we thought about slippin' it I but actaully didn't want to kick that pig.
So, I simply sanded them off. Can't see it anyway.

I cut the burrs down with a knife and than carefully applied a thin strip of that alum. furnace tape to the backside to prevent more comming loose.

I like your solution a lot better.
Thanks.

mine did not have that issue but as a preventative measure i took the fuzzy side of black industrial velcro and ran it along the back of the door handle. it feels nice and is stuck there for good unless of course i want to remove it. you can not see it back there so i have no reason to take it off.
you can get the strong adhesive industrial velcro in rolls at walmart for cheap. i use that stuff for everything. i even used it to hold a mini dry cell battery in my old car and it held up to road racing and everything.

I sanded the back side down and then covered them in Neffy Wrap. I like the look and feel.
