Default In-cabin air filter...probably dumb question

It seemed pretty straightforward and it looks like there is only one way to install the filter, but with the new filter the airflow sticker on top shows that the airflow would be going towards the passenger door...I guess that's possible, but it would be different that most any other car I have seen. Can anybody confirm?

I did read the highly linked thread about the in-cabin air filter and got most of my info. from there. Unfortunately, there aren't any top side pics of the units.

Just seemed odd, so I thought I would ask.

I believe you cannot install a cabin air filter backwards. Havn't replaced mine yet but I'm pretty sure it only goes in one way. Hope this helps!

Yes I agree the cabin filter fits in only one way, and the air flow would be going towards the drivers side of the car through the cowl vent into the blower motor and then through the cabin filter into the HVAC assembly since the cabin fan is on the right hand side of the car. Hope this helps you out some more.

Yes, both responses do help. The install for me seemed super simple...I guess the only thing bothering me is the sticker on the actual air filter showing air flow pointing towards the passenger door (which from my understanding is the wrong way). Maybe I'll check it again...lol...thanks for the responses though, just reassures my thinking.

The sticker could just be incorrect and then I have went to all this trouble for nothing...haha.
