In my new (to me) SRT, i noticed the rear defroster only works partially, about the bottom 3 rows of elements, Also i noticed when I have the defroster on i get static in my radio. I can turn it on and off and duplicate this over and over. Any ideas? A grounding issue?

Yes. But its 3M tint and non-metallic based. I had the same tint in my 04 coupe with no problem, and on 2 other cars with rear window embedded antennas.

 

Mine does the same thing. Most of the defroster grid works though. Luckily I have XM radio. So it's never been an issue. I assume it must be a break in the defroster grid that further causes the static in the radio. Wanna bet a new rear window is the cure?

 

I would think it would fix it hopefully. but dont wanna find out. So for now Im just running no defroster (since it doesnt work anyway) and let my radio work right.
