Repairing hanging ceiling fabric
Repairing hanging ceiling fabric
Not sure what I should do about it. It's very minor on both corners where the ceiling meets the front windsheild, but i don't want it to spread. I see the Spray Adhesives but i've never used it before. I don't know if spraying it is the best idea because it's a small tight area. Also i don't want to saturate the ceiling fabric and give it a wet looking appearance for the rest of it's sports car life.
I hope that makes sense, and if anyone has any experience with this subject i'd appreciate it.

But if it's starting to sag, it's best to have the whole headliner replaced.

Dennis,
The only thread I could find on it talks about paying for the repair. Was hoping since 2008 someone has come up with something else.

I had the same problem, the foam backing on the headliner material was breaking down due to heat & humidity (Florida car) only noticeable in the front corner just as you describe. Only solution was to have the headliner replaced. When I removed the headliner board, the material separated from the foam very easily. Had I let it go longer, I'm sure I would have come out to find the headliner dropped entirely. I chose to redo the headliner in a lighter/whiter shade but with the same weave as factory. I had all the hard panels, including the hatch trim covered. It came out really well, I also had the useless sunvisors deleted and the rear hatch pull down handle smoothed out and covered.
